D.D. Johnice’s Portfolio

Welcome to my portfolio. It’s an abbreviated view of the products, services, solutions, and creative projects I’ve created, led, and contributed to over the past 20+ years.

I’m a geek at heart. I’m fluent in technology, data, information architecture, and business. I love tinkering, prototyping products, services, and stuff with anything I’ve got on hand–HTML5, Keynote, paper or plastic–and making real things that solve problems that matter to me.

My resume does a better job of chronicling the roles and jobs I’ve held. Here, I hope to convey what I was able to bring to life, to make, because I’ve been fortunate enough to earn a great living doing work I love–building businesses, writing, experimenting, creating new products and services, and leading teams (creative and not-so-creative, remote and distributed), and devising marketing, content, and business strategies.

My eclectic career began with my first job processing payroll for my family’s business where I learned business fundamentals and became part of my parents’ community of hopeful, hard-working entrepreneurs. Working for my family inspired me to start my own businesses–designing brand identities and sponsorship packages for motorsports teams, then designing sales and marketing collateral and cooperative advertising campaigns, and  then, an Internet cafe on a college campus.

Today, I lead a global strategy consultancy that guides enterprises in developing new growth models that are natively sustainable and equitable, a company I started in 2000 and have evolved to design products/services, and ventures that make positively impact the environment, society, and community health. I’ve managed a small team and a curated body of work here while taking on full-time roles with employers in the healthcare, advertising and marketing, retail, and entertainment industries.

For the past 10 years, I’ve led the value-based pay, community health, health equity, and innovation programs and organizations for an $80B integrated health care organization and a $21B payor. That led me to my current devotion–creating market-based solutions (products, services, ventures) that make the health care system equitable and affordable.

I’m excited about the endless possibilities and new opportunities.
